Hooray! It’s officially time to head back to school for us! It seems that a large majority of the country has already started school while we’ve still been over here soaking up the final days of summer. We have just 5 days left until my kiddos head back to preschool. So, this week I have been busy finishing up school supply shopping, picking out first day outfits, and doing some meal planning for the week ahead.
With two little preschoolers to get out the door every morning, I know firsthand how chaotic school mornings can be. As most of our regular readers know, my youngest, London, has a very severe dairy allergy. And honestly, some days I struggle with meal planning for her – especially when it comes to breakfast. She isn’t a big cereal eater, and I can’t just pop a frozen waffle in the toaster (spoiler alert: they all have dairy in them). However, she is luckily a huge fan of So Delicious Dairy Free® yogurt alternatives! We first discovered this amazing brand of coconutmilk yogurt shortly after London turned 1, and it has been a staple in our home ever since.
In case you are unfamiliar with So Delicious coconutmilk yogurt alternatives, let me share with you why I love this brand so much. Each of their 10 flavors are Non-GMO Project Verified, Certified Gluten-Free, Certified Vegan, and even deliver dairy-free probiotic cultures! Another bonus – two flavors contain less than 1g of sugar per serving. This coconutmilk yogurt alternative is just the right balance of tanginess and sweetness.
Today I’m bringing you 3 incredibly easy dairy-free breakfast ideas that can help make your busy school mornings run just a bit smoother. And the best part? They are all made with So Delicious Dairy Free® yogurt alternatives.
Dairy-Free Fruit Dip
Slice up some strawberries or apples + pop open a container of So Delicious Dairy Free® Strawberry Banana yogurt alternative, and you have an instant healthy, dairy-free fruit dip! My little one also loves to dip graham crackers in it, too. Super easy and kid-approved!
Dairy-Free Strawberry + Banana Smoothie
Grab a handful of frozen (or fresh) strawberries, 1/2 a banana, 4 tablespoons of So Delicious Dairy Free® Strawberry Banana yogurt alternative, and a splash of apple juice. Blend on high until smooth. Increase or decrease the amount of apple juice based upon how thick you prefer your smoothies to be. For an optional boost of Omega-3s, add in 1-2 tablespoons of Chia or Flax seeds. This smoothie is perfect for on-the-go mornings when you don’t have a lot of time to sit down and eat. My kids love these and so do I!
Dairy-Free Mini Blueberry Oat Muffins
My kids would both likely say that muffins are their favorite breakfast treat. While store bought muffins are convenient, they typically don’t offer a whole lot of nutrition – and they are almost never dairy-free. So, I typically opt to make my own at home. These mini blueberry oat muffins are a huge hit with my kids. They are made with the NEW So Delicious Dairy Free® Key Lime yogurt alternative, which adds just the right amount of tartness to these bite sized muffins! They are dairy-free, gluten-free, and sweetened just a touch with honey. Because my kids love them so much, I like to pack a few in their lunch, too!

I have known about the So Delicious brand for about a year now, however my knowledge was simply that they made dairy free yogurt. I am a huge coffee drinker and needless to say I was ecstatic when I discovered they made coffee creamer. I’m hooked!

That muffin recipe looks great! I’ve recently gone dairy-free to try to help with some skin issues. I’ve never seen this brand at my usual grocery store, perhaps I should try Walmart. (I never go there otherwise.) I’ve tried making oatmeal with almond milk and it worked super well, couldn’t even tell the difference!
Sumer
Thank you. I hope the dairy-free diet helps you! And yes, definitely check your local Walmart!
