It’s August! Summer is winding down and the hustle & bustle of back-to-school season has arrived. This time of year brings a lot of excitement because it means that fall is on the way. Temperatures begin to fall and the leaves begin to turn. Fall sports season is on the horizon. Soon football stadiums and soccer fields will be packed with excitement from kids and parents alike for the start of a fresh new season! The start of a new season also brings the start of grass stained uniforms and muddy entry ways. Moms of little soccer and football players, I know you can relate! Luckily, that’s where 20 Mule Team® Borax comes in!

I just recently started using Borax, but it only took a few times before I became a believer in it! Borax is an all-natural multi-purpose household cleaner that can be used in a variety of ways. It is typically used in the laundry room as a laundry booster; however, it can also help clean tile floors, kitchen appliances, and even help deodorize garbage cans. Now that I have Borax as part of my cleaning arsenal, I’ll also be using it to help clean up the inevitable mess that comes with fall sports.

My soon-to-be 5 year old is our little soccer player. Despite my best efforts, this past spring I was not prepared for the amount of grass & mud that he would track into the house following his soccer games. Let alone the grass stains I would have to try to get out of his uniform. He sure is cute out on that soccer field, but the post-game mess that comes along with it, isn’t so cute.

Here are 3 simple & effective ways Borax can help you conquer the upcoming fall sports season:

Stain Fighting Power for Sports Uniforms

For an extra stain fighting boost: simply add a 1/2 cup of Borax in with your regular laundry detergent. This extra boost will help remove those pesky grass stains from your child’s soccer or football uniform.

Deodorize Sports Bags

To rid your child’s gym bag of sweat odors: add 1 tablespoon of Borax into a quart of warm water. Dip a cloth into the cleaning solution and wipe down the inside of the bag. Let air dry completely. Borax is a fantastic deodorizer and will have your gym bag smelling fresh again in minutes!

Clean Post-Game Muddy Floors

To clean muddy footprints off entry way/mud room tile floors: sprinkle Borax on a damp sponge or cloth and wipe clean. Combine that with a little elbow grease, and you have the perfect solution for touch-ups in between full floor mops.

With fall soccer starting in just a few weeks, get your house game day ready by stocking up on Borax at your local Walmart. You can find Borax down the laundry aisle – with the laundry “additives”

What is your favorite way to use Borax?

Sumer
