3 Ways Borax Can Help You Conquer Fall Sports Season

It’s August! Summer is winding down and the hustle & bustle of back-to-school season has arrived. This time of year brings a lot of excitement because it means that fall is on the way. Temperatures begin to fall and the leaves begin to turn. Fall sports season is on the horizon. Soon football stadiums and soccer fields will be packed with excitement from kids and parents alike for the start of a fresh new season! The start of a new season also brings the start of grass stained uniforms and muddy entry ways. Moms of little soccer and football players, I know you can relate! I just recently started using Borax, but it only took a few times before I became a believer in it! Borax is an all-natural multi-purpose household cleaner that can be used in a variety of ways. My soon-to-be 5 year old is our little soccer player. Stain Fighting Power for Sports Uniforms
For an extra stain fighting boost: simply add a 1/2 cup of Borax in with your regular laundry detergent. This extra boost will help remove those pesky grass stains from your child’s soccer or football uniform.
Deodorize Sports Bags
To rid your child’s gym bag of sweat odors: add 1 tablespoon of Borax into a quart of warm water. Dip a cloth into the cleaning solution and wipe down the inside of the bag. Let air dry completely. Borax is a fantastic deodorizer and will have your gym bag smelling fresh again in minutes!
Clean Post-Game Muddy Floors
To clean muddy footprints off entry way/mud room tile floors: sprinkle Borax on a damp sponge or cloth and wipe clean. Combine that with a little elbow grease, and you have the perfect solution for touch-ups in between full floor mops.

That is super-handy! My mom used to make a carpet deoderizer/cleaner out of Borax, and I am sure she had other uses too!

Great tips! I definitely like to use it for laundry. I also love using it to make ornaments all glittery – we used to do that as a kid! I have such great memories of using it to make our pipe cleaner ornaments.

Oh this is awesome! I’m going to use it to clean out my kids’ swim bags! They smell like mildew and chlorine. Yuck! I never thought about using Borax in that way!
