About Me

Hello, and welcome to Grace, Giggles & Naptime!

I’m Sumer, mama to two little ones – Noah (7) and London (5). My husband and I met online in 2006 (yes, it’s true, online dating really CAN work!), and we’ve been married for 11 years now.

Born in Southern California, I spent much of my childhood by the beach, and have been to Disneyland more times than I can count (we are huge Disney lovers). We moved around quite a bit as I was growing up, and eventually settled in North Carolina. After graduating college in NC, I moved to Pennsylvania to be with my (now) husband. We spent about 7 years in PA before I finally convinced the hubby to move me back to the South. We now reside in the beautiful state of South Carolina.

I live for good Mexican food, buy my hot sauce in bulk, and believe that chicken & biscuits are a perfectly acceptable breakfast option. Naturally, summer is my favorite season. I’d rather be hot than cold and could happily spend 364 days a year in flip flops (Christmas is my one exception).

I was a wedding planner in my past life, and after I had my son, I traded in my trusty clipboard and fancy heels for a diaper bag stuffed with Cheerios and matchbox cars. I have always enjoyed writing and initially started blogging for my wedding planning company in 2008. Now that my little ones are getting a bit more independent, I wanted to revisit my love for writing, so I started this family lifestyle blog for moms!

I named my blog Grace, Giggles & Naptime because those three words best describe how I balance life as a stay-at-home mom to two young children. It starts with allowing myself a whole lot of GRACE, sharing in plenty of GIGGLES with my children, and making time for myself during NAP TIME. Since starting this blog our napping days have sadly come to an end, but I truly believe that if we don’t take time for ourselves, then we can’t really give our children (or our partners) our very best.

It’s here, where I share my life with fellow moms through DIY + craft projects, my love for Disney, family fun activities, life with a child with food allergies, and everything in between!

I hope you will follow along and stay awhile!

xo,

Sumer
