We have been soaking up the final days of our summer vacation. And even though I am slightly sad to see summer end, I am eagerly awaiting fall. To get my kids excited about fall (and back-to-school), I put together this apple cloud dough activity bin for them to play with over the weekend. Cloud dough is an awesome sensory activity for toddlers & preschoolers. It’s a great boredom buster and is quick to make, too! And the best part about it? It actually smells like apple pie! Spoiler alert: it’s messy but loads of fun!

It’s August! Summer is winding down and the hustle & bustle of back-to-school season has arrived. This time of year brings a lot of excitement because it means that fall is on the way. Temperatures begin to fall and the leaves begin to turn. Fall sports season is on the horizon. Soon football stadiums and soccer fields will be packed with excitement from kids and parents alike for the start of a fresh new season! The start of a new season also brings the start of grass stained uniforms and muddy entry ways. Moms of little soccer and football players, I know you can relate! Luckily, that’s where 20 Mule Team® Borax comes in!
This past Father’s Day weekend my husband decided he wanted to take our 4 year old, Noah, on a backyard camping adventure. They had been talking about it for awhile, so we figured Father’s Day was the perfect time for some father-son bonding! What I love most about this idea is the fact that it’s an experience. You are creating a fun summer memory right in your own backyard – without a hefty price tag! And the best part? You don’t even need a campfire to do so – making this a fun summer activity you can enjoy in almost any backyard.
I’ve always loved fall; however, I appreciate this season even more now that we live in SC. Our summers are HOT, y’all, so fall is when we venture outside after our 100+ degree summer days. With the official start of fall happening in just a few days (hooray!), I thought I’d kick things off by sharing a few of our family’s favorite fall activities. The best part about these activities is that they are all toddler/preschooler-friendly!
