How to Set Up a Morning Basket
“School’s out for summer”! Sing it with me, y’all! My oldest is officially a Kindergarten graduate and my youngest just wrapped up another year of preschool. Summer is finally here! Lazy pool days, s’mores by the fire, beach vacations, and let’s not forget – no alarms to set & no lunches to pack! Can I get an AMEN?! But with summer fun often comes lack of routine & structure – two things this mama (and her kiddos) crave. So, this summer I am determined to set aside some structured learning time every morning. Okay, maybe not every morning – because let’s be real – life happens and I need to…

An Alternative to Juice | A Healthy Kid-Approved Summer Refresher
This post is sponsored by Celestial Seasonings but the content and opinions expressed here are my own. Summer is right around the corner, so it’s time to start thinking about ways to cool off in the South Carolina heat. My kids live for popsicles, but let’s face it, most are filled with sugar. Don’t get me wrong – they get their fair share of popsicles and juice boxes, but if I can sneak in some healthy alternatives every once in awhile, I’m all for it! That’s where Celestial Tea comes in. Nature Walk Scavenger Hunt
This past weekend we tossed our “to-do” list to the side and just enjoyed playing outside soaking up the gorgeous spring weather. My oldest has been begging to take his new Outdoor Book outside, so we grabbed his book and headed out for a nature walk. Earlier last week I actually stumbled upon this cute little scavenger hunt bag in the OneSpot at Target and knew my son would love it! Looking back, I’m so glad I snagged this because it sure came in handy on our walk. With our Outdoor Book + bag in hand, we turned our nature walk into a fun scavenger hunt!

5 Backyard Camping Activities for Kids
This past Father’s Day weekend my husband decided he wanted to take our 4 year old, Noah, on a backyard camping adventure. They had been talking about it for awhile, so we figured Father’s Day was the perfect time for some father-son bonding! What I love most about this idea is the fact that it’s an experience. You are creating a fun summer memory right in your own backyard – without a hefty price tag! And the best part? You don’t even need a campfire to do so – making this a fun summer activity you can enjoy in almost any backyard.

Countdown to Preschool | Pencil Paper Chain Craft
There’s still plenty of summer left – especially if you are in the same boat as us and don’t start school until after Labor Day. However, I know some areas of the country are already gearing up for back-to-school. Here in SC, we actually still have 49 days to go until the kiddos head back to preschool. But the school year ahead is a special year for us. My 4.5 year old is heading into his last year of preschool, and I am feeling all the feels. He’s been enrolled in preschool since the week after he turned 2, so needless to say, preschool has been a huge part of…
