DIY Mini S’mores Pots for Kids

When you think of summertime what dessert pops into your head? S’mores, right?! This classic summer dessert is an absolute favorite of ours. I mean, what’s not to love about a warm gooey chocolate dessert?! There’s just one problem – we never feel like dragging our fire pit out to make just one.

Since Father’s Day is this weekend, my husband and 4 year old have decided they are going camping together in our backyard. They are both so excited for their camping adventure. My husband even went out and bought a new tent for the occasion! When he told me what they were planning to do, I immediately started brainstorming ideas of fun things they could do during their campout. Mini S’mores pots were the first thing that came to mind. And since the boys just couldn’t wait until this weekend, we decided to give these a try last night!

Here’s everything you’ll need to make your own mini S’mores pot!

Supplies Needed

Small terracotta pot

Foil

Charcoal (+ lighter fluid, if needed)

Lighter

Roasting sticks (you can use a wire hanger in a pinch)

S’mores Goodies

How-To

Line your terracotta pot with foil. Place a handful of charcoal inside. Light! And that’s it! You now have your very own mini S’mores pot – perfect for roasting marshmallows!

These are perfect for backyard barbecues, 4th of July parties, or just because! These mini S’mores pots are great for kids, too (with adult supervision, of course). Our 4 year old dessert taste tester gives them a big thumbs up!

What’s your favorite summer dessert? Have you made s’mores with your kids yet this summer?

xo,

Sumer
