DIY Mini S’mores Pots for Kids
When you think of summertime what dessert pops into your head? S’mores, right?! This classic summer dessert is an absolute favorite of ours. I mean, what’s not to love about a warm gooey chocolate dessert?! There’s just one problem – we never feel like dragging our fire pit out to make just one.
Since Father’s Day is this weekend, my husband and 4 year old have decided they are going camping together in our backyard. They are both so excited for their camping adventure. My husband even went out and bought a new tent for the occasion! When he told me what they were planning to do, I immediately started brainstorming ideas of fun things they could do during their campout. Mini S’mores pots were the first thing that came to mind. And since the boys just couldn’t wait until this weekend, we decided to give these a try last night!
Here’s everything you’ll need to make your own mini S’mores pot!
Supplies Needed
Small terracotta pot
Foil
Charcoal (+ lighter fluid, if needed)
Lighter
Roasting sticks (you can use a wire hanger in a pinch)
S’mores Goodies
How-To
Line your terracotta pot with foil. Place a handful of charcoal inside. Light! And that’s it! You now have your very own mini S’mores pot – perfect for roasting marshmallows!
These are perfect for backyard barbecues, 4th of July parties, or just because! These mini S’mores pots are great for kids, too (with adult supervision, of course). Our 4 year old dessert taste tester gives them a big thumbs up!
What’s your favorite summer dessert? Have you made s’mores with your kids yet this summer?
xo,
Sumer

This is so cool!! I’m definitely going to try this with my girls. We are huge fans of s’mores but don’t have plans to camp this summer (it’s too humid where we are). Thanks for sharing!
Sumer
I totally understand the humidity…these are perfect for hot summer evenings since they barely put out any heat!

this is almost too easy to be true! i used to (like in high school) make smores over candles… and apparently that’s super unsafe because you’re basically eating all the chemicals in the candle. whoops. this is kid friendly, not poisonous (LOL), and it seems like an easy clean up!
we’re moving to DC and transitioning from a BIG HOUSE (with a yard and plenty of amores making space) to a tiiiiiny apartment (that’s more expensive than our mortgage of our big house) and we’re totally going to do this! <3
Sumer
Haha! Very true!! π Best of luck with your move, and thanks so much for reading!
Krysten
This is absolutely adorable! I am going to do this for my little man this summer, he is going to have a blast with it! Plus, he would get s’mores and he loves s’mores. π

Dawn
This is brilliant! We don’t need an expensive custom fire pit to roast smores! So fun, can’t wait to try this.
