How to Make a Toy Story 4 Forky Pumpkin

When you’re feeling crafty and find a can of white spray paint laying around, you do what any Toy Story fan would do – turn a pumpkin into Forky. Right?! I shared this simple DIY Toy Story 4 Forky pumpkin over on Instagram last week, and y’all loved it so much that I thought I would share it here, too!

Noah’s homemade Forky is sadly on it’s last leg, so when I saw the can of spray paint, the idea hit me! Turns out, this loveable little spork makes a good pumpkin, too. Here’s a quick tutorial + list of supplies you’ll need to make your own Forky pumpkin:

Supplies Needed
  • Medium craft pumpkin
  • White spray paint (matte finish)
  • Googly eyes
  • Red pipe cleaner
  • Modeling clay (red + blue)
  • Craft glue and/or hot glue gun

How-To

This fun, no-carve pumpkin is actually really easy to make. Once you have your supplies in hand, you’ll want to start by spray painting your pumpkin. Make sure to apply several coats, letting your pumpkin dry completely before handling. Next, twist your pipe cleaners to make Forky’s arms/hands. Then, use modeling clay to craft Forky’s eyebrow and mouth. Lastly, grab your hot glue gun or craft glue to secure everything to your pumpkin.

And don’t stress about exact positioning or trying to get everything perfect. Remember, Forky isn’t perfect – he was made by a Kindergartner who loves him despite his imperfections. The moral of the story? Don’t be afraid to attempt crafts with your kids for fear of it not turning out “perfect”. Pinterest-worthy or not, your kids will love the end result just the same!
