Rainbow Mickey Oreo Cookies - Grace, Giggles and Naptime

Hi friends! Today I’m back with another magical Mickey shaped treat and this time we’re getting colorful with everyone’s favorite cookie! These candy melt Oreo cookies are the perfect way to bring a touch of Disney magic into your home anytime you just need a little extra color in your life! Ingredients Needed

Oreo Cookies (regular or double stuffed)
Mini Oreo Cookies
Wilton Candy Melts
White round sprinkles
White icing (optional)

How-To

First, start by taking your Oreo cookies out of their packages to determine how many Mickey Oreo cookies you want to make. When working with candy melts you need to be quite quick, so it’s best to get everything out and prepped before you begin melting them. You will then want to gently take apart your mini Oreo cookies and scrape out the filling. You will actually be able to use just one mini Oreo per Mickey since you will be separating each mini cookie to create the ears.

Next, you’ll want to gently separate the regular Oreo cookies and use a dab of white icing to secure your ears inside the middle of the cookie. Place the Oreo cookie back together and let the icing harden for a bit. Alternatively, you can also just use melted candy melts in place of the icing.

Next, melt your candy melts. You’ll need a separate bowl for each color and I always recommend using a glass bowl when heating your melts in the microwave (see below for my #1 tip for working with candy melts).

Dip each Mickey Oreo into each color and immediately follow with the white sprinkles in the center. Let cool for at least 10-15 minutes and enjoy!

Tip: When melting candy melts in microwave be sure to follow the instructions on package for best results. I use the defrost setting and microwave in increments of 30 seconds making sure to stir in between.
