The Purpose Behind Grace, Giggles & Naptime

Oh hi there! Thought I would pop in to say hello! It’s been awhile since I’ve shown my face here on the blog and wanted to take a minute to chat with y’all. Lately I’ve felt a stirring in my heart to share the true purpose behind Grace, Giggles & Naptime. I spoke about this over on Instagram this week, but felt like I wanted this message to also be housed on my blog. While this space is a job that I truly love doing, I want to let you in on a little secret. Believe it or not, there was a time that I didn’t consider myself to be “crafty”. Pretty ironic for someone who runs a craft blog, right?!

I grew up creating and crafting but never felt like I was any good at it. I was the mom who tried a dozen Pinterest ideas and failed at every one of them. Most of them were just entirely too complicated and left me feeling defeated. Fast forward to a few years ago when I started this blog. What first started out as a way to simply share our family adventures has evolved into a space where I want to encourage moms that they can do fun projects at home with their kids, regardless of their “Pinterest skill level”.

What Types of Ideas Can I Find Here?

I sincerely hope that when you come to this page or see one of my crafts pop up in your Pinterest feed that you think to yourself “Hey! That looks easy enough. I could totally do that!” My goal for this space is to be a resource where you can find simple ways to bring a little magic into your home. Whether that’s with a fun craft on a rainy day or a special after-school snack. Or maybe you’ve suddenly found yourself as the Kindergarten Homeroom mom and have been tasked with making 20 Christmas treats for your child’s class and have zero clue on what to make. I want you to come here and feel like you can tackle that project with confidence knowing I’ve got the ideas & supply lists covered for you.

This space truly is about building community with other moms while finding small moments to connect with your kids. Friends, thank you for taking the time to show up here each and every day. You all encourage me just as much as I hope to encourage you.
