A Spring Themed Children’s Book Shelf
After we gave Noah’s bedroom a little facelift, I thought it was only fitting to give London’s room a mini makeover as well. First up in her room is a place to display all of her beautiful books. Now that London is in Kindergarten her love of reading is really starting to blossom, so I knew she would love having a special spot for her books.
Since spring is (hopefully) on the horizon, I thought we’d style her new shelves with our favorite spring books. Read on below for all of the details on her shelves including our favorite titles for spring!
Shelf Details
The IKEA shelves we used are actually picture ledges; however, they work great as book shelves, too! They come in a few colors and are priced under $20!
The “READ letters” can be found for just $2 each at Hobby Lobby. I gave them a quick makeover with some acrylic paint to match the overall color scheme in her room.
Lastly, I finished off the shelves with this adorable pastel rainbow garland from Pearl and Jane.
Our Favorite Books for Spring
Our beautiful spring books are a mix between Usborne & Amazon finds. Below you will find some of our favorites.
Usborne Favorites
A few of our favorite Usborne titles for spring include:
Lift the Flap – Questions & Answers: Why Do We Need Bees?
Lift the Flap – Questions & Answers: Nature
Lift the Flap – Questions & Answers: Weather
Secrets of the Vegetable Garden
The Big Picture Book of Planet Earth
Amazon Favorites
Our favorite books from Amazon can all be found in my Amazon shop.
Lastly, I have a very special book I wanted to share with you. One of my dear friends has just written and published her first children’s book titled “Forever Ours”. It is a beautiful story about adoption written from the perspective of a young girl in an orphanage. If you or someone you know has been blessed by adoption, I encourage you to check out this sweet story. It is now available to order on Amazon!
I am thrilled with how these shelves turned out! Each season/major holiday I plan to swap out books to make sure we always have new reading materials easily accessible. And the absolute best part is that London is wanting to read even more now that her favorite books are all on display!
