An Alternative to Juice | A Healthy Kid-Approved Summer Refresher

This post is sponsored by Celestial Seasonings but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Summer is right around the corner, so it’s time to start thinking about ways to cool off in the South Carolina heat. My kids live for popsicles, but let’s face it, most are filled with sugar. Don’t get me wrong – they get their fair share of popsicles and juice boxes, but if I can sneak in some healthy alternatives every once in awhile, I’m all for it!

That’s where Celestial Tea comes in. Unlike lemonade and traditional teas, Celestial Teas are super flavorful as-is, which means no sweetening required. They are not only 0 sugar teas, but they are 0 calories, too!

This past weekend, we headed to Walmart to check out some of their summer flavors – Lemon Zinger, Country Peach Passion & Wild Berry Zinger.

With so many flavors to choose from, you’re sure to find one your kids will love. My kids really enjoyed the Wild Berry tea, and next on our list to try is the Country Peach Passion.

I love how easy it is to make, too – truth be told, I’ve never actually made iced tea before. I know, I knowI live in the South. I get it. But I’ve always just bought pre-made tea. Until now that is! Within minutes, I can easily make a huge pitcher of it and then store it in the fridge for later!

There’s nothing more I love than sitting on our front porch just hanging out as a family. In the warmer months (which luckily for us is a large part of the year) my kids live for playing outside! After a long afternoon of sidewalk chalk, jump roping & scootering up and down the sidewalk, they naturally come inside begging for a treat. And this summer, I love that I’ll be able to offer them a healthy alternative to sugary juice!

Serve it over ice in a fun summer cup and enjoy! Bonus points if it’s with a twisty straw 😉

Cheers to sweet, sweet summertime!

Sumer
