DIY Target Gumball Jar Makeover
Target Gumball Jars are BACK, y’all! I may or may not have let out a little scream when I saw these cuties on the shelves last week 😉 I missed out on these last time they were released, so when I spotted them I immediately grabbed a couple to save for a few ideas I’ve had brewing since earlier this spring! And today the Target Gumball Jar is getting a back to school themed makeover!
I knew I wanted to do a pencil theme, but wasn’t quite sure how I would incorporate the metal band. Then all of a sudden it clicked – a gray ribbon would do just the trick! Check out the full how-to below on this easy DIY Target gumball jar makeover.
Supplies Needed
- Target Gumball Jar
- Acrylic Paint + Brushes
- Gray Ribbon
- Scissors
- Hot Glue
- Stickers for “No. 2” (you could also use a Cricut machine)
How-To
First, paint your gumball jar using either acrylic or spray paint (I opted for acrylic and it worked out perfect). You will likely need 3 coats of acrylic paint for full coverage.
Next, make a simple bow for the “metal band” and secure with hot glue.
Lastly, add your “No. 2” stickers to complete the full pencil look.
Fill with no. 2 pencils or flair pens and you have an adorable DIY teacher gift idea for this upcoming school year.
Stay tuned for another DIY Target Gumball Jar Makeover with a Halloween twist! Coming next month to the blog!
